As strange as it sounds, we were really craving a chance to sit outside without having to be in a public place surrounded by people. (We love the city and all its bustle, but fume-free air and personal space are nice sometimes too.) So we grabbed some BBQ from our favorite Fette Sau, and booked it out to Floral Park Gardens (a.k.a. the Bernardin home). Toots and Toto provided a lovely assortment of side dishes, and we indulged in a feast and lots of fresh air!
We've decided to deem ourselves The Porch Crashers and coast our way through spring and summer by inviting ourselves over to the homes of anyone we know with outdoor space. Clean your grills and brace yourselves! Mel and DJ: coming soon to a porch near you.
