Graziella's for Janna's Birthday

Hooray for Janna's birthday!
We got to spend time with the birthday girl on her actual birthday at the lovely Graziella's in Fort Greene.  This place boasts fantastic Italian cuisine and an awesome rooftop deck with views of Manhattan!  We didn't sit outside this time around (a little too chilly), but we definitely enjoyed every bite of the food.

The group started with the 3 appetizers our server highly recommended:
fried calamari, grilled octopus, and  Mediterranean Schiaciatta (brick oven flat bread stuffed with baby arugula, shaved parmesan, baby tomatoes, and topped with extra virgin olive oil).  All fabulous!

In fact, Mel enjoyed the grilled octopus so much she decided to couple an order of it with tomato-mozzarella salad to make a meal.  Delightful!

DJ tried the special of the day: fettucine with duck raagu.  So good.

Overall we were really impressed with Graziella's menu, and we look forward to coming back when it's warmer to enjoy one of the brick oven pizzas on the rooftop deck.  :)
